When you are in that place where you where you find yourself sometimes when you are trying to determine how to start a business if you are new to networking –or- how to change your business so it becomes successful if like many you have been networking for a long time. There are 3 questions you should probably ask yourself. • The #1 question you want to ask yourself about networking is - how many people actively ordering product every month do you need to make $10,000/month in "walk-away residual income". We picked $10,000/month because its an easy number to deal with because you only need to multiply or divide the $10,000 number to get to whatever goal you define for yourself. In some companies you need 3 or 4,000 people; there are other companies where you can do it with under 350 people. What company would you rather be with? We show you how to figure that out. That's important because 90% of the people in Networking are part-time people - to a part-timer there is a very important difference between needing 35 or 40 people to make $1,000/month and needing 4 or 500 people to make the same $1,000/month. So you can see why a part-timer gets discouraged and quits when he finally figures out that he needs 4 or 500 people actively ordering product every month to make $1,000/month. Would a part-timer rather make a $1,000 by bringing in 35 people to his company? Now do you see the importance of picking the right company? Especially for the part-time networker. With the right company, you will be able to maximize your efforts. I'll say it again, 90% of the people in Networking are part-time people. Walk-away residual income means: When you go away to a desert island (another way to say retiring) so you can enjoy your leisure - your company will continue to send you your check every month.
This usually means they can cancel your contract if you are not active in the business. They will have ways to measure whether you are active or not; like bringing in new dealers or maintaining a certain volume or traveling to conduct training classes - things like that. If you decide to retire, for example, you can keep getting your residual income check only if you satisfy the requirements specified in the On-going Obligation section of your Policies & Procedures manual. A contract is a legal document. The Policies & Procedures is part of that legal document. You probably didn't even see yours until after you signed up and purchased your first product package. It’s probably on your company website somewhere; only you probably didn't get to see your website until after you paid the money to join up. Have you ever started a job without knowing how you were going to be paid? This is a private call and its not recorded; our training calls are open and they are recorded, so, we never mention companies and products on those calls. But we can here because this is a private call. The choice is yours - what company you affiliate yourself with - but please be very careful of non-5 Pillar companies.
I know I have done that in the past; but I will never do that again. I can't believe I did this, but I did - it goes like this: I got introduced to a product I really liked and believed in. So knowing little more than that, I said sign me up, by the way how much does it cost, and I bought in at the super-duper level, got a startup kit and got some product at the wholesale price. I also got a website - that I had to pay for - and I still didn't know how or when I was going to be paid. Total, blind faith. And you know what? I was not successful. Are you surprised? And guess what; I did that three times! Since joining Mentoring For Free, I have learned what to look for in a company, it's their Compensation Plan and their Policies & Procedures. Because of what I now know, I know I will never do that again! |
